The Story So Far

Scott Andrew lives in Seattle with Megan, writes songs and plays in bands. He thinks bios suck and still hates writing them.

Currently Scott writes original music and plays bass with post-rockers Explone and nerd-rockers Kirby Krackle. He is also one-half of urban folk duo Kin to Stars with Jerin Falkner.

Scott was born in Weirton WV, best known for its long-shuttered steel industry and, more recently, the site where JJ Abrams' Super 8 was filmed. He moved to Ohio after high school and began playing guitar with bands like Cartoon Freeze Tag, Anagram, Reality Twitch, Shuttlecocks and the Walkingbirds. He briefly lived in San Francisco, then fled to Seattle shortly thereafter. Since 2001 he's put out a bunch of solo albums and EPs.

Scott is always up to something and always almost finished.

What Other People Have Said

"Scott's definitely among the top ten artists we've seen on the road this year." — Brian Austin Whitney, Just Plain Folks

"There is no chance you'll mistake Scott for a folksinger. His poppy, energetic strokes and clever phrases inspire bobbing heads and thoughtful smiles." — Angela Jossy, The Tacoma Weekly Volcano

"Great stuff, luminous, sweet intelligent folk without being self important or slight. 'Gravel Road Requiem' reminds me of when I first heard Matt Nathanson nearly eight years ago who quickly became my favorite folkie ever." — Kevin Smokler, author

"Prior to purchasing Save You From Yourself, my life was a waking nightmare. I shuffled aimlessly though my days with watery eyes, oozing sores, and halitosis. Now, I am proud to say that I can face the world head-on, look lady luck in the false eye, and ask her to give me a wink-job. Used as directed, Mr. Andrew's latest offering cures acne, curbs hunger pains, protects your coffee table from sweating glasses on a hot summer day and, under specific and highly-controlled circumstances, produces music. Oh the music. Anyway, buy this album (or, if you don't remember albums, buy this cd)." — Wilbur Whatley @ Amazon.com

"I herd [sic] a few songs. What is your goal in music? Was not impressed. Another guy who plays guitar and thinks he is the next big thing. Is there anyone out there with their own unique style? You sound like to [sic] many other commercial artists. Stop cluttering the web with your junk." — Anonymous emailer
